The Gown Atelier, in collaboration with IOI Weddings, recently joined the spectacular IOI Weddings Showcase 2025 at IOI City Mall Putrajaya from 14-18 May 2025. This event marked a significant milestone as The Gown Atelier had its first-ever selection of modest hijab-friendly bridal looks, alongside a vibrant showcase of contemporary gowns.

A key highlight of the showcase was the Bridal Fashion Show held on 15 & 17 May, presented by The Gown Atelier. These shows featured an exquisite lineup of internationally renowned designers, blending elegance with cultural resonance for Malaysian couples.

Day 1: Bridal Fashion Show on 15 May

On 15 May, the runway came alive with stunning collections from Zuhair Murad, The Gown Atelier, Vera Wang, and more. Zuhair Murad’s designs captivated the audience with their intricate detailing and luxurious fabrics, embodying timeless sophistication. The Gown Atelier showcased its signature modest yet elegant bridal looks, perfectly tailored for hijab-wearing brides, aligning with the event’s goal of introducing culturally resonant styles. Wona Couture brought a modern flair with its bold silhouettes, while Vera Wang’s iconic designs added a touch of classic romance. Imolacy rounded off the day with its innovative and artistic bridal creations, leaving the audience in awe.

Featured Sangjit Gowns

In addition to the bridal collections, the showcase highlighted Sangjit gowns, a nod to the traditional Chinese engagement ceremony. These gowns, featured rich red and gold tones symbolizing prosperity and joy. These Sangjit gowns offer a perfect balance of heritage and contemporary style. Standout pieces included flowing cheongsam-inspired silhouettes adorned with intricate phoenix motifs and elegant lace overlays, designed to honor cultural traditions while appealing to modern couples.

Our second day was a historic event, marking Precious Weddings' first public fashion show debut, a milestone that drew attention from wedding enthusiasts and industry insiders alike. This debut showcased their stunning bridal collections, blending elegance and innovation, perfectly tailored for modern Malay couples searching for the ideal wedding gown. The show also introduced Lara Marinenko, a debut designer brought by The Gown Atelier, whose unique designs stole the spotlight with their sophisticated craftsmanship and contemporary flair.

The IOI Weddings Showcase 2025 was more than just a fashion event; from a blossoming partnership between The Gown Atelier and IOI Weddings The event also featured exclusive invitations for new signups and a shoutout about MBFW (Malaysian Bridal Fashion Week).
